Three winners take home a slice of $10,000 in prizes awarded by Penn State Lehigh Valley’s LaunchBox!
Grand Prize: $5,000
1st Runner Up: $2,500
Audience Choice Award: $1,000
LaunchBox Boost Awards (3): $500
All participants get connected with Lehigh Valley LaunchBox’s resources for startup businesses, including legal advice, marketing resources, mentors, grant funding opportunities, and more! You’ll be pitching your company in front of local business leaders, investors, and community leaders and will have the opportunity to network before and after the main event.
How It Works
Ten local entrepreneurs will each have two minutes to pitch their products to a panel of judges. Afterwards, the judges will have two minutes to ask questions. After all contestants have pitched, the judges will select the winners. The audience will also vote for an Audience Choice Award.
The show will be hosted by Richard Thompson, managing partner at Factory, and Liz Keptner, director of the Multimedia Innovation Center at Penn State – Lehigh Valley and Emmy award-winning producer and host.
How to Apply
If you are interested in participating in the pitch competition, please click the button below to fill out the application.
All startup founders and entrepreneurs in PA are eligible to apply, as long as you are 18 or older. Products and companies in any industry are welcome. Your company does not need to be established in order to participate (though preference will be given to companies that are up and running), but you must have a prototype available for the judges to evaluate.
The StartUp Lehigh Valley committee will review applications and invite ten startups to participate.
The application is now closed! Follow Factory’s social pages to find out when we announce the finalists.
Note: Because the event will be held live and in-person at Factory, selected finalists must show proof of Covid-19 vaccination in order to participate.
