Factory’s brand partners are joining forces for a second time to give back during the coronavirus pandemic. As a statewide shutdown in Pennsylvania continues for the sixth week, the brands are delivering snacks to frontline workers in the Lehigh Valley.

Honey Stinger, Mikey’s, Stuffed Puffs and Pipcorn are collectively donating 12 pallets of snacks to workers at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest in order to show their appreciation for the first responders who have been working tirelessly to care for patients in our community.

“All our brand partners continue to impress me with their generosity,” said Richard Thompson, Factory’s managing partner. “Just two weeks ago they made a very generous donation to Feeding America that will provide one million meals to those in need. Now they are giving back to frontline workers here in the Lehigh Valley.”

“I also want to thank Andy Plank at Blue Eagle Logistics for donating his company’s services in delivering the products to the hospital,” Thompson continued. “As soon as he heard the shipment was a donation for frontline workers, he immediately offered to transport it at no cost.”

Factory is an accelerator and private equity partner for start-up food and beverage companies based in South Bethlehem that launched last year with the mission of cultivating an ecosystem for entrepreneurship in the Lehigh Valley.

The donation consists of a variety of snacks from each of Factory’s brand partners:

Honey Stinger, a sports nutrition brand, is providing performance and nutrition snacks, including stroopwaffles and energy chews. Its products are designed to help athletes and others perform at their best.

Mikey’s, a gluten-free and dairy-free brand, donated its microwavable pizza pockets that go from freezer to table in two minutes. All of Mikey’s products are designed to make following a gluten-free diet easy and delicious.

Stuffed Puffs donated its revolutionary milk chocolate-filled marshmallows, including its brand new Chocolate-on-Chocolate flavor. Stuffed Puffs marshmallows are filled with milk chocolate that melts from the inside out for the perfect s’more. You can melt them in the microwave on your favorite cookie for a quick s’more, or eat them right out of the bag.

Pipcorn provided its signature Mini Heirloom Popcorn, as well as Heirloom Cheese Balls and Heirloom Corn Dippers. All products are made with a special variety of heirloom corn and simple, delicious ingredients for a modern take on timeless snacks.

“These are all products that are delicious and easy to snack on during a break or at the end of a long day,” Thompson said.
